I hope you have enjoyed my series on cofactors as they do play a really important role in understanding the brain and nutrition. There are many other important principles and nutrients to understand when it comes to the brain and nutrition, so I will continue adding to this series over coming months.
However it is important to understand that chemistry is only one of the languages of the brain. It is the main one we have focused on in the west, mostly due to the role of drug therapy. The other main language of the brain is electrical activity, and this language is probably just as important or even more important than brain chemistry!
The problem has been we have not had many ways to investigate this language or work with it, until recently. Some of the biggest advancements in our understanding of the brain have come from studying the electrical activity within the brain. This has also lead to much advancement in therapies for the brain, (like neurofeedback, infrared devices and brain training) and helped us understand older principles (like Meditation) and how valuable they are for our brain health.
So over coming weeks I will be adding some material to help you understand this very powerful language of the brain.
